Since several years we have started the production of HDPE-lined concrete box culverts that guarantee absolute absence of infiltration into the product, absence of cracks and resistance to chemical agents - keeping intact the characteristics of resistance of reinforced concrete products.
The choice of high density polyethylene (HDPE) has been made for its peculiar characteristics, i.e. resistance to chemical attack of saline, acid and alkaline solutions, as well as to solvents such as alcohol, esters and ketones. It resists in environments from ph 2 to ph 12 withstanding without any effect the possible evaporation of sulphates and sulphides.
The preservation of the characteristics over time is another important characteristic. After years of operation, even the sewer preserves the design parameters (K coefficient in Manning-Strickler's formula) that instead tends to degrade with other materials - putting the system in critical conditions, with all the negative consequences for the health of citizens.
Together with the extrusion welding of the joints (a system developed by our technicians) carried out by our staff with a license from the Italian Welding Institute of Genoa, we are able to guarantee the perfect tightness of our pipelines - suitable both in case of small pressures and in case of crossing areas with water drainage wells serving public aqueducts.

If the product is used to transport wastewater, it is essential to ensure that there are no cracks that could cause the wastewater to escape and pollute the surrounding soil. The HDPE-lined Duct guarantees the absolute impermeability of the product as it allows elongations up to 600%, shaping itself perfectly to any movement of the product itself. This allows to place the HDPE-lined Duct also in seismic areas, with the care to use our guaranteed system on the joint which consists of a 3 mm thick polyethylene material band welded across the joint in order to obtain a perfect linearity of the pipeline. |

The picture shows how the polyethylene is the most reliable and resistant material when conveying wastewater - which usually includes sand and debris.
