4-km long methane pipeline for Calabria region

Microtunneling pipes are the absolute protagonists of these worksites in the Italian Region

Snam has chosen COPREM pipes dn 200 cm with a thickness of 20 cm for this project articulated on several underground pipelines located between the jacking station and the exit station at different heights above sea level and with different geomechanical soil characteristics.

Works are planned for the entire region to complete the Calabria's natural gas network following the signing of contracts by distribution companies to connect to the Snam pipeline network. These works, which provide for the construction of methane pipelines for a total of approximately 310 km, include 17 adductors (14 of which have already been built) serving 62 redelivery points (49 of which have already been built).

The worksites involved in this intervention are related to the derivation of the methane pipeline for the municipalities of Montello Jonico and Melito Porto Salvo.
