The networks of services in the underground must be monitored and included in an accurate mapping with the indication of the technical features, operation and service offered. The lack of an exact knowledge of the topographical location of these networks can cause interference and disturbance between the various infrastructures and inefficiency in the use of available space.
Distribution and transport networks need continuous maintenance, upgrading and expansion to ensure functionality and prevent risks. Therefore they must be constantly inspected and, if necessary, rehabilitated with a continuous work of knowledge, control and maintenance that cannot be fragmented and disjointed.
These are the reasons that are increasingly driving designers towards the
Technological Tunnel solution - often made from precast concrete box culverts that form the underground conduit within which utility networks operate.
A critical point of this solution has always been the
impermeability of the pipeline, which especially with the passage of time could no longer be in line with the project parameters, creating obvious problems for the internal distribution networks due to the infiltration of water and humidity through the joints of the
box culverts.
The final solution came from
COPREM with its
HDPE-lined Box Culverts and
Welded Joint ones, made with a sheet of
HDPE T-Grip liner installed in the production phase of the product on the entire internal surface of the concrete or only on the joint, in order to allow extrusion welding with relative certification.
Our technicians are always available to institutions, companies and professionals to advise from the initial stage the best solution at the lowest possible cost.
